Contact: COLUMBUS, Ohio (August 8, 2008) SCI Engineered Materials, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SCIA), a manufacturer of ceramics and metals for advanced applications such as photonics, solar, thin film batteries, and semiconductors for select growth markets in the physical vapor deposition industry, announced that its stock symbol changed to “SCIA” effective today. The common stock is traded on the Over-The-Counter Bulletin Board market. This change was made in conjunction with the Company’s new CUSIP number, which is 78402S 108, following shareholder approval of the corporate name change. The previous stock symbol was “SCCI”.
